Who are we?

The HMHB Teen Leadership Council consists of dedicated and enthusiastic teen leaders that represent different public and private schools throughout Broward County. The Teen Leadership Council embraces the mantra of Saving Lives, Guiding Futures, and Inspiring Hope within their community. The Teen Council empowers teens with core values such as leadership, compassion, integrity, respect, and heart of service.

What is the Teen Leadership Council doing in our community? Let’s take a look.

Grab and Go Lunches

The HMHB Teen Leadership Council is putting together “Grab and Go” lunch bags for our clients during Covid-19. The “Grab and Go” project is led by Jack Shechtman, who is Treasurer of HMHB’s Teen Leadership Council. Through generous businesses and individuals in our community, we will be providing weekly “Grab and Go” lunches in the highest risk zip code in Broward County.

Through your generous donations, we have delivered since mid April:

Grab-N-Go Lunch Bags: 1,459

Meals: 15,291

Clean Hands Project

Allie Karlinsky, the Chair for the “Clean Hands” project and the HMHB Teen Leadership Council put together over 200 packages of soap for our clients during the COVID-19 pandemic. The packages included instructions from the CDC that showed how to wash your hands correctly, proper social distancing, and other healthy practices during these challenging times.
