Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County’s Forget Me Not program began in 1996 by a group of dedicated bereaved mothers. For more than 19 years, Forget Me Not has been a leading source of support for thousands of families. Throughout the years, money has been raised to provide grief services following the tragic loss of a baby. More than 300 babies die before their first birthday each year in Broward County. Our goal is to be there to assist each and every family at the time of loss and through the healing process. Our local hospitals are provided with hand-knitted baby blankets and bereavement materials to help the entire family. We offer one-on-one peer support, as well as two monthly Healing Your Heart support groups.
In the past, our fund provided financial assistance to those families who could not afford cremation or burial services. It is our desire to build this fund to ensure every baby is laid to rest with dignity and respect.
Please join us by making a donation in memory of someone you love, and in turn, we will continue to help every family who experiences the loss of their baby. We look forward to recognizing you and your remembered loved one at this year’s annual Forget Me Not Memorial Event on October 24, 2015 at the Anne Kolb Nature Center.
